About the Position

SHEQ Specialist Gauteng. A global chemical company is looking for an experienced SHEQ Specialist with in depth knowledge of relevant legal requirements and SHEQ experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.

Requirements include:

  • Qualification in health and safety, environmental courses, quality, OHSA, ISO 14000 and similar
  • At least 2 years’ management experience in SHEQ in the chemical manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of Hazchem, transport of hazardous chemicals
  • Knowledge of and experience in Environment, Health and Safety, ISO Contact Number, OHSA,COID, first aid, firefighting, incident and accident investigation and corrective action, Quality, Environment, Health and Safety auditing, hazard identification, training, coordinating committees, PPE, compiling and controlling Environment, Health and Safety documentation

Duties include:

  • Ensure Quality, Environment, Health and Safety compliance
  • Ensure all legal requirements are met at all times
  • Assist with SHEQ training
  • Keep SHEQ administration up to date
