About the Position

METHODS ENGINEER

Our Client seeks to appoint a Methods Engineer to be based in Jet Park. This position is responsible for Method and Pattern design from the drawings received from product line/customers assuring the best quality of the final product suggesting best foundry practices. Knowledge to produce manganese & low allow steel castings through no bake and baked sand process is mandatory. Melting & moulding experience and ERP/SAP knowledge will be preferred. He should be prepared to work for 3 shifts working.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pattern designing in CAD or ProE.
  • Should have good knowledge on Drawing
  • Knowledge on CAD/ProE/Magma/ProCast and similar for 3D modelling and simulate in Magma/ProCast.
  • Methoding of castings includes gating and feeding design in manual calculation process.
  • Establishing BOM in ERP system with validation on floor actual data.
  • Train Shop Floor workmen to establish correct Methoding as per Method Sheet.
  • Inspection of patterns and castings.
  • Should have good knowledge of foundry fluxes and their usage.
  • Defect Analysis and taking corrective measures according to best practices.
  • Exposure to ERP and Computer applications for statistical analysis of any kind of process deviations.
  • Ability to actively engage with Global interfaces at other company's manufacturing units for Benchmarking Product manufacturing processes.
  • Focusing on customer need in terms of quality and application.
  • Ability to Participate in improvement projects like Kaizen, quality circle, HSE & Good to Great projects
  • Well conversant with ISO 9001.

RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY

  • Report directly to in Charge - Engineering Manager.
  • Coordinate with Planning, purchase, and Production department.
  • Interaction with company's Global technical team.
  • Interacting with Foundry suppliers for new developments and application.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Engineering degree/Diploma in Mechanical/metallurgical.
  • Minimum 4 -6 years of experience in foundries manufacturing manganese crusher parts.
